As South Africa played Bangladesh in the second T20I, David Miller smashed multiple records as he scored the fastest century in the format. Miller took only 35 deliveries to equate AB de Villiers' record of fastest century across formats [de Villiers had hit it in ODIs]. Miller hit 9 sixes and 7 fours on his way to score an unbeaten 101 off 36 deliveries as South Africa posted a gigantic total of 224 for 4 for Bangladesh to chase. In T20I cricket, Miller bettered the record of Richard Levi, who held the record of fastest century in the format, off 45 balls.
Miller also hit Mohammad Saifuddin for a 31-run over in which he hit sixes off all the first five deliveries. Only two cricketers apart from Miller Evin Lewis and Yuvraj Singh have hit 5 or more sixes in an over in T20Is.
