West Indies‘ destructive all-rounder Deandra Dottin set yet another record as she became the first woman cricketer to hit two hundreds in T20Is. Dottin was also the first woman cricketer to hit a century in the shortest format of the game, hitting a 38-ball 100 back in 2010, which was the fastest in women’s cricket. Apart from Deandra, only three cricketers — Chris Gayle, Brendon McCullum and Evin Lewis — have hit two centuries each in T20Is.

Deandra’s powerful innings guided West Indies to a victory despite their low score. West Indies Women posted 159 for 6 in the third T20I against Sri Lanka Women. The second-highest run-getter in the innings was opener Hayley Matthews with 34. None of the others reached double figures. Deandra scored 112 off 67 deliveries, hitting 9 fours and 5 sixes in the process, which was 70.4 per cent of her team’s score.
