Sri Lanka women crumbled their innings to 112 in just 38.2 overs and Deepti Sharma stood out as star for India Women picking 6 crucial wickets. India started their innings well with just three runs from the first over, but Shikha Pandey gave away an expensive in her first spell giving away 15 runs from it. India got their first breakthrough when Deepti picked Prasadani Weerrakodi for 19 runs, followed by Chamari Athapaththu for a duck in the next ball. Very soon the opening batswoman Yasoda Mendia was also shown the way out with PR Bose bowling her first spell and getting a wicket successfully. Oshadi Ranashinge was also out immediately in the 12th over by an excellent lbw by Deepti. LIVE CRICKET SCORECARD: India Women vs Sri Lanka Women, 3rd ODI at Ranchi

Sri Lanka desperately needed a partnership to score runs on board as they were 41 in 12 overs. Shashikala Siriwardene came to bat and was expected to hit some boundaries which could help them pose a competitive total against India after losing two consecutive One-Day International (ODI) matches. Shashikala did have some luck with the bat playing three 4’s but that lasted just for a while and she was out by Deepti who was on a roll at the moment with her fourth wicket of the innings and fifth wicket for India. Dilani Manodara, who entered in the 19th over, was playing very well and probably was the highest run scorer for Sri Lanka with 23 from 60 balls and just single boundary to add up to her runs. Hansima Karunarathne was also short lived and was picked by Shikha Pandey getting her first wicket in the 31st over.

Eshani Lokusuriyage came in to step out in just a span of one over and was out for 7 once again by Shikha Pandey. Dilani who was the only player scoring runs on board at the time of need for Sri Lanka was also unfortunately out for 23 by PR Bose getting her second wicket. Udeshika Prabodhani who was the opening batswomen in the last innings came in at No.9 with a hope to bring some runs from Sri Lanka. India did not let that hope to stay and got their ninth wicket Udeshika once again Deepti getting her fifth wicket. Deepti was bowling her last over much to her surprise, she grabbed the last wicket of Sugandika Kumari and that ended the innings for Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka had won the toss and chose to bat, which did not really help them to get the required runs on board.
