New Delhi: May 25, 2012

US citizen Zohal Hamid’s plea to withdraw charges against Royal Challengers Bangalore player Luke Pomersbach was heard by the Delhi High Court on Friday.

A criminal case was lodged against the Australian player by Hamid for allegedly molesting her and hitting her fiancé Sahil Peerzada. Pomersbach was arrested on May 18 after the incident took place at a five-star hotel in New Delhi

Hamid’s lawyer also told CNN-IBN that no defamation case would be filed against Sidhartha Mallya either for his offensive comments on Twitter.

RCB owner Mallya had tweeted: “The girl who is accusing Luke is saying he hit her ‘fiance’… what a load of f****s***. She was all over me last night and asked for my bbm (blackberry messenger) pin, so if he was her fiance she wasn’t exactly behaving like a future wife.”

The trio told the court that they have mutually decided to put an end to all the disputes. Hamid and Peerzada are fully satisfied with the innocence of the Australian player.
