Former West Indies captain Denesh Ramdin has lashed out at the new Chairman of West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Courtney Browne. Ramdin has taken to Twitter to convey to his fans that he will not be playing in the Test series against India as the new chairman thinks that his average is not good enough. He further takes a dig at Browne saying that he has a better average that Browne, yet the latter decides to drop him based on average. West Indies take on India in a four-Test series beginning on July 21 at Antigua. Ramdin has played 74 Tests in his career so far. Full Cricket Scorecard: India vs West Indies 2016, 1st Test at Antigua

Ramdin also reminds the chairman that he scored two 60-plus scores against Australia Down Under, but is somehow not fit to play in the side anymore. Ramdin was sacked as captain few months ago and the reins was handed over to young Jason Holder, who has had a tremulous time as West Indies captain so far. Holder led West Indies in the ICC World Cup 2015, followed by Test series against Australia and Sri Lanka. READ: Simmons: WI do not have enough D/N experience to play pink ball

West Indies may have not tasted victories in any of those series, but they put up a good show in the recently-concluded tri-nation series, featuring South Africa ad world champions Australia. With Ramdin not picked in the series against India, it will be interesting to see, who replaces him as the wicketkeeper. READ: Johnson to lead WICB President XI vs India

Also, whether Ramdin will face any disciplinary action from the WICB for his rant is to be seen. Despite being scaked as captain, Ramdin has been West Indies’ first-choice wicketkeeper.
