Skippers MS Dhoni and Ricky Ponting have expressed their dissatisfaction with the pitch at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, saying that it had a lot of turn. India and Australia played a World Cup warm-up match in Bangalore on Sunday.

After winning the match by 38 runs, Indian captain Dhoni said, “It will be difficult to chase anything over 230 odd on such kinds of tracks. It would be good if the wicket turns slightly less ahead.”

Ponting opined that the pitch was not fully prepared. “It was hard to bat on right through the day. It spun a lot in the second innings. Hopefully as the tournament goes on, we will get better wickets than this one. This one looked a bit under prepared,” he said.

Both Ponting and Dhoni hoped that they do not get such wickets once the World Cup begins on February 19.

India and Australia played a low scoring warm-up match as India were restricted to 214 in first innings, and they bowled out Australia for 176, winning the match by 38 runs.

India will play their second and last warm-up match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on February 16, whereas Australia will take on South Africa on February 15 in Bangalore.
