Cricketer Dinesh Karthik has recently praised Virat Kohli saying he is ‘blown away’ by the way the player has improved in recent times. Karthik this year represented Gujarat Lions (GL) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), the team which was skittled by Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the play-offs of the tournament. Karthik has earlier shared dressing room with Kohli during his RCB as well as Team India days and seems to be thoroughly impressed by the cricketer’s current astounding form. Kohli has done extremely well in the limited-overs format lately and is being praised by people across the globe. READ: Dinesh Karthik, Dipika Pallikal bat for P&G Shiksha programme

Karthik, talking to Cricbuzz, said, “When you speak about Virat, nothing is enough. I am really blown away by the way he is growing as a cricketer and a human being. He has set the bar really high for the other cricketers. It will be right to say that he is in a different league and to be able to perform so consistently over a long period proves his class. It has been a pleasure to see him rise and rise above the rest.”

He also spoke about his absence from the national side. “Getting a place in the team is not up to me, so instead I do what I can and that is keeping up the hard work. But I am happy with the way my career has shaped up. I have had my fair share of ups and downs and that is a part and parcel of a sportsman and I have no regrets.”
