A dismal performance, accompanied by a collapse in the batting order by Rajasthan Royals’ lineup made way for Gujarat Titans to secure a 58-run victory.

Coming to bat first, Gujarat Titans lost their first wicket by the third over, and the team had posted 56 runs by the time powerplay came to an end. A decent pace kept going as the team was at 81 runs by the 8th over. By the time half-innings was complete, Sai Sudarshan had completed his fifty, along with Jos Buttler getting dismissed. By the time half innings were finished, GT was at 94/2.

The second phase of their innings saw the whole change in the match. The team was going at a strong pace, as they had posted close to 150 runs by the 15th over. Shahrukh Khan and Sherfane Rutherford then got dismissed in two back-to-back overs. However, that did not stop the team, as they had posted a total of 217/6 on the board.

The innings for Rajasthan Royals began on a shaky note, as the team lad lost the key wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Nitish Rana within the powerplay itself. The fall of wickets continued as the team lost Riyan Parag in the 7th over and Dhruv Jurel in the 8th. By the time half innings were complete, the team had managed to score just 85 runs on the board.

The second phase of the match also saw the fall of crucial wickets, with the team going at a below-par run rate. As the pressure kept rising, Sanju Samson and Shubham Dubey got dismissed, which further increased the pressure. By the time final 5 overs were remaining, the team needed 79 runs to win. Eventually, the final wickets got taken down and the team lost the match by 58 runs.
