A low-profile Dolphins side takes on Perth Scorchers in the fourth match of the Champions League T20 2014 (CLT20) at Mohali on Saturday. Both teams are coming in to this tournament having won the T20 championships in their respective countries.
Dolphins are making their World T20 League debut this year. They are short on international experience and David Miller’s preference to play for Punjab instead of his home team has left them weakened.
Though Perth have a formidable team, they’ll be burdened by their past records in the tournament. In the previous season, Scorchers failed to win any of the match and went down by huge margins.
Squads:
Dolphins: Morne van Wyk (c&wk), Vaughn van Jaarsveld, Jonathan Vandiar, Kyle Abbott, Cody Chetty, Daryn Smit, Daryn Dupavillion, Khaya Zondo, Andile Phelukwayo, Cameron Delport, Robbie Frylinck, Keshav Maharaj, Sibonelo Makhanya, Prenelan Subrayen, Craig Alexander
Perth Scorchers: Adam Voges (c), Cameron Bancroft (wk), Brad Hogg, Mitchell Marsh, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Craig Simmons, Ashton Turner, Ashton Agar, Jason Behrendorff, Yasir Arafat, Sam Whiteman (wk), Hilton Cartwright, Joel Paris, Michael Beer, Simon Mackin.
