“Don’t want to put his future…”: Mohsin Naqvi provides Massive update on Saim Ayub’s injury ahead of Champions Trophy 2025
The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi, has stated that he is closely monitoring Saim Ayub on his recovery, and he does not want the future of the youngster to get risked because of a tournament.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi stated that he does not want to risk the future of 22-year-old Saim Ayub in jeopardy for one tournament. Naqvi revealed that he is monitoring Ayub in his recovery, and his cast will come off in a few days.
“I am closely monitoring Saim’s condition. He is currently undergoing rehab.His leg cast will come off in 1-2 days. After that, he will enter the recovery phase, which will take time. I don’t want to put his future at risk because of one Champions Trophy. Saim Ayub is a valuable asset for us, and, God willing, he will recover soon,” Naqvi told the reporters.
Saim suffered an ankle injury when he slipped during the second Test against South Africa. He got ruled out of the Test match and was taken for immediate medical supervision.

Ayub has been splendid in ODIs. In 9 ODI matches, he has scored three centuries and averages over 64. He scored two ODI centuries in South Africa, as he proved his worth on the international stage. Naqvi has said that he want the best possible medical care for Ayub.
