Hosts England head into Friday’s fourth ODI versus Pakistan at Trent Bridge in Nottingham with a 2-0 lead in the five-match series after a washout at The Oval was followed by 12-run and six-wicket wins respectively.
Here is what you should know about today’s match and which fantasy players to pick:
England will be without regular captain Eoin Morgan, who has been banned from the game due to a slow over-rate offence in the Bristol ODI. His deputy, Jos Buttler, who had been rested for that match, is expected to captain England today.
Sticking with their rotation preference, England are likely to rest Jonny Bairstow, who scored a match-winning 128 on Wednesday, Chris Woakes, who took four wickets in the third ODI, and Liam Plunkett. James Vince, Mark Wood, and Jofra Archer are expected to return.
Pakistan are expected to make a few possible changes – Mohammad Hasnain could play in place of Faheem Ashraf as the team continues to try a find a solution to their bowling woes. Shoaib Malik, who joined the squad in Bristol after leaving for home due to personal reasons, could return.
Remember, it was at Trent Bridge where England set the highest ever ODI total of 481/6 in 50 versus Australia last year, having set the previous record of 444/3 against Pakistan in 2016 at the same ground. Expect lots of runs, and maybe a record broken.
England and Pakistan have met seven times at Trent Bridge, with the hosts holding a 4-3 win-loss record.
Jos Buttler (wk, CAPTAIN), Joe Root, Jason Roy, Imam-ul-Haq (VICE-CAPTAIN), Babar Azam, Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, Imad Wasim, Hasan Ali, Mark Wood, Jofra Archer
