Andy Flower’s stock has risen manifold after England rose to the top of Test rankings with him as coach but the Cricket Board here is hopeful that the Zimbabwean would stick to the team even if any other lucrative offer comes his way.
ECB chief executive David Collier is sure that Flower, who had earlier denied an opportunity to work with the Indian cricket team, would not even consider a switch.
Under Flower, England reached the summit of the Test cricket, following a crushing series win over India.
“I think Andy made his position very clear when the Indian situation happened. I think he is very settled in England and long may that continue. I think the whole of the backroom team is (very important),” Collier said.
The ECB CEO said everyone in the set up has contributed in the tremendous success of the side.
