Earlier, England skipper Joe Root won the toss and elected to bat first, as they moved in with an unchanged squad from the win in 3rd Test at The Oval. South Africa, on the other hand, were forced to make a couple of changes, as Vernon Philander and Chris Morris were ruled out for lower back strain, making way for Theunis de Bruyn and Duanne Olivier.
