India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has a huge list of admirers, which has a latest addition in form of his England counterpart Alastair Cook’s father, Graham.
Graham, who is traveling with the England cricket team as an ordinary fan, was seen admiring Dhoni from a distance at the Taj Palace hotel in New Delhi, where the teams stayed for their second One-Day International.
Graham admitted that he is a big fan of the Indian captain “He is remarkably calm. I like the way he handles the enormous pressure which comes from leading a passionate country like India,” he told MiD DAY.
When the Indian skipper was told about this, he quipped: “Ask him to watch one of the press conferences to see the pressure from media!”
Graham, who was seen chatting with England cricket experts David Lloyd and Nick Knight in the hotel lobby, keeps low profile despite being the father of England’s ODI captain.
In fact, he stayed at a cheaper hotel in Karol Bagh as he finds five star hotels “very expensive”.
