England Lions have removed the duo of Joe Clarke and Tom Kohler-Cadmore from the touring party for India on disciplinary grounds. The pair of Tom Moores and Will Jacks has been added to the squad that will face India A in a five-match one-day series followed by two unofficial Tests.

The decision to drop Clarke and Kohler-Cadmore came after their name cropped up in the trial of former Worcestershire player Alex Hepburn who is under trial for a rape case dating back to April 2017.

Although the pair hasn’t been accused of any wrongdoings, they were part of a WhatsApp group that has been used as evidence.

Nottinghamshire’s Moores is a wicketkeeper and son of former England coach Peter Moores. Jacks is an allrounder who represents Surrey in English county.

England Lions will face India A at the Wayanad Cricket stadium in Thiruvananthapuram with the tour starting from January 23. The squad includes wicket-keeper batsman Sam Billings, Ben Ducket and Ollie Pope, who all have donned the English colours, with Pope playing against India in two Tests in England last year.
