England are off to an excellent start in their pursuit of 101 in 25 overs against Afghanistan in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, Pool A match 38 at Sydney. They have brought up team’s 50 in the ninth over. Openers Alex Hales and Ian Bell have put England in a commanding position and look in prime position to guide England home comfortably. Afghanistan earlier set England a target of 101 in 25 overs after they were restricted to 111 for seven in 36.2 after rain stopped play thrice. After rain stopped play for the third time, the umpires decided to end Afghanistan’s innings and give England a revised target. Afghanistan would have fancied their chances considering the fact that England have not been in the best of forms, but this opening pair have sailed throughout their innings and look set to win it for their team. England captain Eoin Morgan had earlier won the toss and decided to bowl first. He would have been happy with the way his bowlers went about things. Both England and Afghanistan have been eliminated from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 and are playing for pride in this match, which is their last one of the tournament.
