England still trail Pakistan’s first innings total by 86 runs. LIVE CRICKET SCORECARD: England vs Pakistan , 1st Test match at Lord’s
England’s lower-order will look to cancel out Pakistan’s lead on Day 3, whereas Misbah-ul-Haq and co. will try their best to wrap up the hosts’ innings as quick as possible. But with Chris Woakes and Stuart Broad at the crease, the former looking really good, England will hope to continue and add some more runs to the board. Woakes with 31 not out, played acome superb drives and was looking in fine touch on Day 2. Among the Pakistan bowlers Shah was undoubtedly the best and his figures prove that. On a pitch that does not look like it is offering a lot of turn, Shah’s contribution was invaluable for Pakistan. Wahab Riaz, couldn’t take a wicket on Day 2, but he had also bowled his heart out. England’s middle-order on the other hand, did not have a good day at the office. Gary Ballance, James Vince and Jonny Bairstow will look to bounce back with a better show in England’s second innings, if they get a chance to bat.
