After their tour of New Zealand where they will play three ODIs and three T20Is, India women will face England at home in three ODIs and as many Twenty20 Internationals. According to a report in ESPNCricinfo on Monday, the T20I series will be held at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati and will get underway on March 9. The three ODIs will be played on February 22, 25 and 28 at either the Wankhede Stadium or the Brabourne Stadium. The ODIs will contribute points towards the ICC Women’s Championship in the second cycle.

England, the reigning World Cup champions, last faced India, in the ICC Women s World T20 semi-final in the Caribbean in November last year. India were knocked out in a one-sided affair. England last toured India in March 2018 for a T20I tri-series in Mumbai, where they finished runners-up to Australia. In the three ODIs at Nagpur, India won 2-1.

The ODI series will be India s second assignment under new coach WV Raman.
