Hyderabad: Oct 11, 2011

England captain Alastair Cook won the toss and decided to bat against Hyderabad XI in their one-day tour game at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Star batsman Ian Bell will be absent from England’s practice match due to a stomach upset against Hyderabad XI in practice match.

Bell has been replaced by Jos Buttler – who has been retained with the England squad after his Champions League campaign with Somerset but is not expected to be available for selection in any of the forthcoming ODI matches.

Graeme Swann will also miss the match due to a minor ankle injury. Fast bowlers Jade Dernbach and Steven Finn and batsman Ravi Bopara were rested – and Tim Bresnan, Craig Kieswetter, leg-spinner Scott Borthwick and pace bowler Stuart Meaker were added to the team which beat these same opponents here in Saturday’s first warm-up fixture.

Teams:

England: Alastair Cook (c), Craig Kieswetter (wk), Jonathan Trott, Kevin Pietersen, Jonathan Bairstow, Samit Patel, Chris Woakes, Jos Buttler, Chris Woakes, Stuart Meaker, Tim Bresnan.
