England’s new-found success in ODIs credited to revolutionary approach by management and players

England‘s change in fortunes in the 50-overs format has reportedly come about by a revolutionary change in attitude by players to focus on the game, rather than data and numbers. This change in attitude has received the backing of the England management, particularly by Paul Farbrace. READ: England have decoded ODI batting

According to The Telegraph, Farbrace has worked in close co-ordination with incoming Australian coach Trevor Bayliss and the outcome has been a dramatic change in attitude which is more player-centric, reducing the emphasis on backroom. The outcome of the approach have been largely positive with England giving New Zealand a run for their money.
