London: England captain Eoin Morgan has heaped praise on Chris Jordan, saying that the fast bowler’s match-winning performance in the final T20 against Pakistan displayed the development of the limited-overs squad. England completed a 3-0 clean sweep in the series, thanks to a brilliant super over spell by Jordan, after the match finished in a thrilling tie in Sharjah. Reflecting on Jordan’s performance, Morgan said that giving Jordan the ball in the super over epitomised the squad and the development it had gone through, the Guardian reported. LIVE CRICKET SCORECARD: Pakistan vs England 2015, 3rd T20I at Sharjah

England Twenty20 captain Eoin Morgan Tuesday was happy his team’s progress in the shortest form of the game terming it as pretty exciting but refused to get carried away despite a clean sweep against Pakistan 3-0. England won the third and final match in a thrilling Super Over affair after the regulation match was tied in Sharjah on Monday. The victory lifted England from a pre-series eighth position to fourth in the world Twenty20 rankings.

In the match, Pakistan once again endured a false start and as has been routine through the course of this limited overs series, their middle order crumbled with the exception of Shoaib Malik. Malik batted steadily not focusing on big hits due to the fact that everyone around him was crumbling, but once he was joined by Shahid Afridi and the need to score became mandatory he took the bowlers on and batted sensibly. Afridi was in his elements and smashed a couple of big hits. One of Afridi’s sixes reached top tier of the stands. The 29-year-old captain also said that picking Jordan was pretty easy as he was their best yorker bowler. Morgan also reflected on the rotational policy of England in the T20 series, saying that they want to establish a strong starting 11 for next year’s Twenty20 World Cup in India.
