England skipper Eoin Morgan reaches new feat as he completes 100 sixes in ODIs as he becomes the first England batsman to do so. He has also struck 18 sixes while playing for Ireland. Morgan has 118 sixes in ODIs overall and stands at 34th position in the list of batsman with most sixes. Shahid Afridi is the leading the list with 371 sixes to his name. Despite reaching new feat Morgan failed to convert his start into a big score today at Cardiff against Sri Lanka as he was sent back to the pavilion for 20 off 18 balls. He struck a six of Seekuge Prasanna to reach 100 sixes. FULL CRICKET SCORECARD: England vs Sri Lanka, 5th ODI at Cardiff
England are currently playing the last ODI of the five match series. It took Morgan 142 matches to complete 100 sixes for England. The hosts are currently dominating Sri Lanka as the visitors are yet to win a match on their tour. The hosts have won two out of four matches. One ODI was tied and other was abandoned due to rain.
Rain affected the play today as well but play was resumed shortly with no overs used. Sri Lanka will be itching to get at least one win in their bag before the tour ends as they have only one T20I to play in England. On the other hand England will be looking to end the ODI series on a high by winning the final ODI as well. They won the Test series as well by 2-0 as the rain played spoilsport on fifth day of third Test.
