Social media went haywire when former Indian tennis player Sania Mirza got separated from her husband, Shoaib Malik. Now the former Tennis star has again garnered social media attention amid rumors of her marriage with Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami.
However, things went too far when edited images of the duo’s marriage started circulating on social media with many people even believing that the images were actually real. The topic became so big that Sania’s father, Imran Mirza had to deny the rumors himself.
“This is all rubbish. She has not even met him,” Imran told NDTV.
His comments have cleared that Sania Mirza’s marriage with Mohammed Shami is nothing but a wild guess from social media users.
The last international tournament that Shami played with India was the ICC World Cup 2023 where he bowled incredibly well throughout the tournament. Whereas, Sania announced her retirement from Tennis in February, 2023.
Sania and Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik got divorced earlier this year, meanwhile, Shami was separated from his wife, Hasin Jahan. The common link that might have started the rumors were termed as “rubbish” by Imran.
