Faf du Plessis has been one of the pillars of strength of the South African batting line up across formats. He’s versatile and capable of batting with equal effect in any conditions and any format. Du Plessis has been a sensation to watch and has developed as a batsman over the years. To add to his good fortunes, he is a live-wire on the field and unarguably one of the best fielders in contemporary cricket.

In a cooking show named ‘Sunfoil Now We’re Cooking With The Proteas’, South African Twenty20 International (T20I) skipper Du Plessis was seen cooking a delicious spicy lamb bunny chow with Chef Jackie Cameron. The mouth-watering video was posted on YouTube by Proteas Cricket. Sunfoil is also the official sponsor for the South African cricket team. When the tasty looking chow is finally cooked, Du Plessis is surprised with the deliciousness as he rates the dish 9 out of 10. Kagiso Rabada and David Miller have earlier featured in the same series.

Du Plessis has not been in best of the forms in the recent times. In the Test series against India, he didn’t manage to collect enough runs. South Africa at present are in deep trouble in the first Test of the Basil D’Oliveira Trophy against England at Durban. At stumps on Day 4, they were precariously placed at 136 for four, requiring 280 more runs to win with six wickets to spare. Du Plessis has been dismissed and South Africa have a huge task ahead in saving the day.
