On Monday, August 5, following student protests against government job quotas, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned, sending shockwaves across the nation.
Hasina has resigned and left the country, according to the chief of the Bangladesh Army. The military would assist the interim administration in governing the nation, the commander said.
In addition, the demonstrators vandalized and wrecked the prime minister’s official mansion.
