After getting done for just 46, India’s spirit looked low in the opening match of the 1st Test against New Zealand. While the powerful task for batters can by called as half done, Sarfaraz Khan showed his power of bat after a duck in his first inning. Sarfaraz shared an important 136-run partnership with Virat Kohli for the third wicket to keep India going well in the game.
While a big play is expected from Sarfaraz, former Indian batter Manoj Tiwary believes that KL Rahul will be under high pressure as he is yet to bat in the second innings.
“You cannot remove Shubman Gill as of now because he scored a hundred in the previous series and he also has a very good record. When he recovers from his stiff neck, he will become an automatic choice. KL Rahul will be the one under most pressure,” Tiwary said on Cricbuzz.
