Keki Kotwal, a former cricket sub committee member of the Cricket Club of India (CCI), who went as the manager of the Indian team to the ICC Knockout tournament in Nairobi, Kenya in October 2000, passed away on Monday. The tournament in which India qualified for the final and lost to New Zealand.

He was 75 and died after a long battle against cancer, according to sources. Kotwal, who served on CCI’s cricket sub committee for 27 years, had also attended a host of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Working Committee meetings when the late Raj Singh Dungarpur headed the country’s apex cricket body.
