The Malaysian Cricket Association (MCI) officially extended the invitation to the government of Nepal to organise a benefit match between the Nepal National Team and a World XI which will be made up of several high profile players both current and recently retired. The match will be played at Kinrara Oval which is an One-Day International (ODI) status ground with the facilities to host such a match. We will be bringing you all the updates from this game here. The World XI team has a nice mixture of current and former players, with the most accomplished player in their ranks being the legendary former Sri Lankan opener and skipper Sanath Jayasuriya. The other members of the side includes, the former Pakistan captain and wicketkeeper Rashid Latif, Bangladesh spin duo Abdur Razzak and Sohag Gazi as well as the Australian cricketers, Steve O’Keefe and Marcus Stoinis. Venugopal Rao will be the Indian representative in this team.
