Out-of-favour India opener Gautam Gambhir will lead a 15-member Delhi side in the North Zone league of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 domestic tournament to begin on March 28.
The squad also includes Virender Sehwag despite his poor show with the bat in the domestic season so far, lanky right-arm pacer Ishant Sharma, Unmukt Chand, Ashish Nehra, Mithun Manhas, Rajat Bhatia and Parwinder Awana among others.
The squad was announced after a selection committee meeting of Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) attended by chairman Chetan Chauhan, Anil Jain, Hari Gidwani, N P Singh, Varun Kumar, chief coach Sanjeev Sharma and convenor-cum-selector Sunil Dev.
Delhi will open their campaign in the tournament against Himachal Pradesh on April 1, likely at Mohali.
