Australia captain George Bailey brings up his 15th One-Day International half-century in his team’s opening match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 at Melbourne. Bailey came in at a time when Australia were in a spot of bother at 70 for three. He and opener Aaron Finch have built an excellent partnership to ensure that Australia reach a comfortable position. England bowlers were on top early on after they managed to dismiss David Warner, Shane Watson and Steven Smith in quick succession. Warner and Finch had made a half-century stand for the opening wicket before a series of wickets fell, which put Australia on the back foot. Bailey and Finch have now ensured that Australia can now think of a score well beyond 300 and put England under serious pressure. England had earlier won the toss and decided to bowl first. They would have been delighted with the three wickets they picked up earlier but will be disappointed looking at the current state of the game. Aaron Finch was dropped early on by Chris Woakes and England will now rue the dropped chance now.  ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: POINTS TABLE
