Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is pleased to have a new legion of fans, even non-Australian, after scooping a million-dollar Indian Premier League (IPL) payday.

Maxwell’s life and his bank balance have changed dramatically in the last two years in which he has banked over one million dollars in consecutive IPL auctions.

According to News.com.au, however, the all-rounder does not mind the extra attention as he prepares for Australia’s campaign at the World T20 in Bangladesh and he said that it is nice being recognised in the subcontinent and people being so friendly towards him.

Maxwell further said that he gets ”lovely people” coming up to him continuously and saying hello.

Maxwell is best known for his explosive batting but it is his spin bowling which could be just as important on the unique pitches of Bangladesh, the report added.
