Goa is in sight of victory against Bihar on the third day of the U-19 Cooch Behar Plate ‘B’ four-day match played at Bits Pilani ground.
Trailing by 339 runs in the first innings, Bihar were tottering at 136 for 5, still 203 runs behind, to avoid an innings defeat.
Earlier, Goa resumed at their overnight score of 345 for 4 and declared at 454 for 7 with skipper Darshan Misal missing a ton by a single run. His 99 came in 190 minutes of stay at the crease with 139 balls and 9 hits to the fence.
Sharmon Vaz, who was unbeaten yesterday at 101, was out for 119 runs. He hit seven fours in a stay of 516 minutes and faced 371 balls and hit seven boundaries.
For Bihar, Sachin Rathod was the most successful bowler who bagged four wickets for 65 while Himanshu Hari took two wickets.
For Goa, spinner Darshan Misal took 3 wickets for 23 runs while Nitesh Jaiswal took 2 for 26 runs.(PTI)
