Fresh from a one-off Test defeat by the hands of Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe skipper Graeme Cremer is eager to pick Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s brain when India arrive in the Emerald Island. Asked what will Cremer discuss with Kohli if they both crossed paths, he quipped, “Will probably try and pick Kohli’s brain on playing spin and how he goes about his game…” Kohli-led India are scheduled to play a 3-Test, 5-ODI and one-off T20I in Sri Lanka starting July 26th. Dickwella, Gunaratne steer SL to victory on Day 5 of ZIM Test at Colombo

Cremer speaking to observedbd.com, advocated for longer tours to take place as opposed to shorter ones. “Yes, we definitely would have want a longer (Sri Lanka) tour. The more cricket we play against the top opposition would more better…”, he explained. Zimbabwe attained their first-ever ODI series win versus Sri Lanka earlier this month.

Speaking about tour in general, he said, “I thought we were in trouble at those scores but I also knew we still had a lot of batting to come. It will be a great achievement to beat Sri Lanka for the first time..and I think we have never won many Tests because we don’t get to play Test cricket consistently”.
