Zimbabwe spinner Graeme Cremer spun the way as he claimed five for 20, that just rattled the Afghanistan batting line-up and they were bowled out for a loe total of 131 in the opening One-Day International (ODI) at the Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium on Friday. Opener Noor Ali Zardan was the only top scorer for afghanistan with a score of 63. Earlier, Afghanistan skipper Asghar Stanikzai won the toss and elected to bat first, as they began their innings shaky note with the first wicket falling in the form of Mohammad Shahzad for mere five to Hamilton Masakadza. And with 24 runs more added to the total, it was Mohammad Nabi, who soon followed back to the pavilion for mere 17 to Taurai Muzarabani, followed by Nawroz Mangal, who fell for mere four to Graeme Cremer. However, it was followed by a 35-run stand between Stanikzai and opener Noor Ali Zadran, before the skipper was run out for mere nine by Sikandar Raza at the score of 103, and following which, the Afghan innings couldn’t play a mature innings as they started falling like a pile of cards henceforth. It was in the very same score when Noor Ali Zardan fell for a brilliant innings of 63 to Chamu Chibhabha, unable to cope up with the pressure following the inability of the batsmen on the other side, who were unable to support him thoroughly. Following his dismissal, batsmen in the form of Samiullah Shenwari (3), Najibullah Zadran (16), Mirwais Ashraf (3) and Dawlat Zadran (1) were dismissed at the score of 114, 127, 128 and 129 respectively, before the final batsman in the form of Yamin Ahmadzai was dismissed for an unfortunate duck, as Cremer just rattled the Aghan batting line-up, claiming five for 20, while Afghanistan were skittled for 131.
