Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is quite active on social media. He ensures he never misses out on important topics as his tweets usually catch the trend. The things that interest him and compel to tweet include cricket, his pictures with his wife Geeta Basra and humorous things he comes across. Recently, he came across a weird hairstyle and in no time, posted it from his official Twitter handle. Soon the picture attracted huge response from his fan base of over 2.87 million, with his followers coming up with funny captions and remarks. One of those followers was Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, whose reply started a new thread altogether.

It all started with Harbhajan s tweet on Wednesday morning. The feisty Sardar of Indian team came across a funny hair style of a random guy, who had a pineapple-like hair style. Harbhajan captured a click of that weird hairdo and posted through his official Twitter handle with a caption reading: Best hairstyle I have ever seen what do u say guys? The image was well received by his scores of followers, who gave it a good response with their funny remarks (It was retweeted 184 times and liked 885 times by the time this post was published.) Harbhajan wrote:

Abhishek Bachchan also found the hairdo amusing and decided to reply to it in his own witty manner. He likened the hair style to that of France and Manchester United footballer Paul Pogba s. It was evident from his tweet, which read as:

Abhishek has been a sports nut. He is an avid fan of Indian cricket as well as football and Kabaddi, as he owns football and Kabaddi teams in their respective Indian leagues ISL and PKL. He has also been a huge supporter of Mumbai Indians (MI), a side Harbhajan is a part of in the IPL. Thus, his reply to his friend Harbhajan was not surprising at all. However, what surprised was the duo s decision to troll the hairdo as well as star footballer Pogba, especially Harbhajan s, who came up with a funny yet potentially controversial tweet, which he quickly deleted.

I guess we should. He ll be visible on pitch with that https://t.co/2EQ60kurD4

He deleted the tweet since it was racially motivated and could have triggered a controversy. Later in the day on Wednesday, on the occasion of KarwaChauth, Harbhajan wished his followers in his own inimitable style:

Harbhajan had recently hit the headlines for his remarks about the Holkar Stadium pitch. He had written on Twitter Already looks like 2 days old pitch before the 1st bowl is bowled..my predictions match won t go more than 3 and half days His tweet brought him a lot of criticism. Later, he even wrote how the pitch in India these days assist the spinners more and how his and Anil Kumble‘s wickets tally would have been “something else” if they had bowled more on such pitches. The tweet kicked up a storm as he was pitted against Ravichandran Ashwin by the media but the latter s sensible behaviour meant the controversy died its natural death.
