Pakistan lost their sixth wicket with 172 runs on the board as Haris Sohail was bowled off the bowling of Mitchell McClenaghan to depart on a score of 65 from 74 balls. The wicket helped bring an end to a dangerous-looking partnership between Sohai and Sarfraz Ahmed worth 57 runs, which was threatening to take the game away from the visitors. The dismissal came about when Sohail tried to make room for himself while attempting to play a full-pitched delivery towards the off-side, but missing the line of the ball completely.
