Haryana police have arrested three bookies and recovered Rs 1500 in cash, three mobile sets, two mobile chargers, one calculator and one colour TV from their possession.
The arrested persons had been identified as Vikas, Mohan, and Shekhar, the police said here on Monday.
A police party raided a house near the railway station here last evening after receiving an information during patrolling that some people were running a betting racket there.
The three were arrested for placing bets on the third ODI between Sri Lanka and England, which the island nation won by six wickets at Lord’s to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.
