Hasan Ali becomes quickest to 50 ODI wickets for Pakistan
Hasan Ali also became the highest wicket-taker in 2017.

Player of the Tournament in 2017 Champions Trophy, Hasan Ali became the quickest to 50 ODIs wickets for Pakistan. He attained the high in his 24th match, levelling with Dennis Lillee. Only Ajantha Mendis, Ajit Agarkar, and Mitchell McClenaghan are ahead of the Pakistani in the list.
Hasan Ali also became the highest wicket-taker in 2017. He bagged the dual feat during the third ODI against Sri Lanka at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. He finished with 5 for 34, his third five-wicket haul in the format.

Hasan Ali had made his debut against Ireland in August 2016, going wicketless in the 5 over he sent down. However, it was in June 2017 that the 23-year-old pacer achieved fame. Taking 13 wickets at 14.6, Hasan Ali was the highest wicket-taker in Champions Trophy. His best bowling figures of 3 for 19 came against India in the final.
