‘Have a red-ball in my room…’: Prasidh Krishna’s hint to selectors for being taken for England tour
Gujarat Titans (GT) pacer Prasidh Krishna is in peak form as of now, and has stated that he has a red-ball in his room with which he wishes to practice with in order to prepare for the England tour.

Gujarat Titans (GT) bowler Prasidh Krishna is currently the purple cap holder in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Krishna is not only the highest wicket-taker, but his economy of 7.48 runs every over is also the best wicket-takers in the season.
In a high score match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 2nd May at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Jaipur, Prasidh Krishna gave out just 19 runs and took two wickets. He was even given the ;Player of the Match,’ where he revealed that he has a red-ball in his room, but is yet to practice with it.
“I have a red ball in my room, playing around with it. Didn’t get it to the ground. Looking to take this tournament first and then look at what’s coming later,” Krishna said.
Prasidh Krishna was a part of Indian squad for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Australia. He marked his comeback in Test cricket for the fifth and final match of the series at Sydney, where he took three wickets in both innings. However, India lost the match by 6 wickets.

So far, Prasidh Krishna has played three Test matches, and has taken 8 wickets. He has been in-and-out due to injuries. Considering the pace-friendly conditions and his ongoing form, he is likely going to be selected for the Test series against England. The England series is going to begin India’s World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle.
