Delhi’s star all-rounder Shivam Sharma showered praise on Indian star Virat Kohli, who is ready to appear for Delhi in Ranji Trophy clash against Railways, set to begin January 20 in New Delhi. Kohli confirmed his availability for the Ranji Trophy after BCCI made it mandatory for cricketers to appear in domestic cricket when possible.
Kohli last appeared for India during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, where he had scored 190 runs in five Test outings. As Kohli confirmed his participation in Ranji Trophy, the DDCA has already taken measures to welcome the crowd at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Virat was seen in Delhi as he did training on Tuesday, where he was involved in a batting session, along with taking part in the team training.
“He is getting along very well with everyone. He has kept everyone comfortable. With his presence in the team, the entire squad is very confident,” Shivam told MyKhel .
“There are many youngsters in our team who is meeting Virat bhai for the first time. And the way he is mingling is outstanding,” he added.
“I can’t say anything about his performance. But yes, obviously, he is a world-class player. He looks like he is in good touch and everything. So, I think he will make good runs in this match,” the Delhi player added
