HS Prannoy won the match by 21-12, 21-12 to move into the next round of the tournament. MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila defeated Supak Jomkoh and Kedren Kittinupong 21-17, 17-21, 22-20 to reach the next round. Lakshya Sen won against Hans-Kristian Vittinghus in straight games 21-12, 21-11 to move into the next round. Aswini Ponappa and Rankireddy won their round of 64 match against Maldives, while Tanisha Crasto and Ishaan Bhatnagar are also into the next round with a comfortable 21-12, 21-13 victory over their German opponents.

A number of Indian shuttlers are participating in the ongoing BWF World Championships 2022 and will look to win the tournament.
