They say, ‘When in Rome, do as the Romans do’. This phrase holds true for every part of the world. So when the overseas players arrive in India for the Indian Premier League (IPL), they got to learn the language most spoken that is Hindi. Besides, they also need to know about the local lingo and the delicacies.
India Under-19 and Delhi Daredevils (DD) cricketer Rishabh Pant took this responsibility of teaching Hindi to his team-mates Quinton de Kock and Sam Billings. The cricketers, who come from South Africa and England respectively, have no idea whatsoever of the local language and the food that is famous in Delhi. So Pant, the local Delhi boy, imparted knowledge to the overseas players regarding the same.
However, the twist here was the fun these guys had and the laughter that was generated during the entire exercise. Learning Hindi is not easy at all and de Kock, Billings found it as much difficult as a tongue-twister. The video of this hilarious session, shared by DD’s official Twitter handle, can be seen here:
