Hobart Hurricanes defeated the Melbourne Stars in the first semi-final of the Big Bash League 2014. In the second semi-final Perth Scorchers won the game against Sydney Sixes at Sydney. In the final at WACA between both sides, Perth captain, Simon Katich has won the toss and elected to bat. Both the teams are in fine fettle going into the final.
The previous two BBL finals were held at the WACA Ground. The Perth franchise will be confident of winning the coveted trophy this time around. They have Katich, Brad Hogg and Alfonso Thomas. There is also Craig Simmons in the line-up. The Hurricanes have their own star player in Ben Dunk.
