Hong Kong won the fourth T20I match against Nepal played at Sara Oval, Colombo on Monday. Batting first, Nepal posted a total of 72 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Nepal batsmen never looked in a comfortable position as the wickets kept falling at regular intervals. At one stage, Nepal were reduced to 25 for eight at the end of 11.5 overs. However, a late effort from Sompal Kami helped Nepal to avoid embarrassment. Kami scored 40 runs off 31 balls, which included six boundaries and two sixes before he was dismissed by Irfan Ahmed.

Chasing a modest score, Hong Kong had some tense moments as they could only chase the total in 19.5 overs losing eight wickets. Aizaz Khan and Anas Khan both added 21 runs each to help Hong Kong get to the total. Nepal bowlers did well to remove the top order batsmen cheaply but a brave effort from the middle-order rescued Hong Kong.

Brief scores:

Nepal 72 in 20 overs (Sompal Kami 40; Aizaz Khan 2 for 4) beat Hong Kong 73  for 8 in 19.5 overs ( Anas Khan 21*; Sagar Pun 2 for 11) by 2 wickets.
