‘I am still waiting on…’: Jason Gillespie opens up about waiting on his compensation after being sacked from head coach position

Former Pakistan red-ball head coach Jason Gillespie has revealed that he is waiting on compensation from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Jason a story to his Instagram account that was regarding his interview with Pakistan media, where he has stated that the PCB are still to clear some of his payments.
In April 2024, Jason Gillespie and South African Gary Kirsten were appointed as the red-ball and the white-ball head coaches respectively. Both of them were on a two-year contracts by the PCB, who had promised the Pakistan team a new era.
However, six months down the line, both the coaches were forced to resign as the board stripped most of the authorities from both of them, which also included being on the national selection committee.
“I am still waiting on some remuneration from the PCB,” read one story.
“Gary Kirsten and I got sold the dream of building a team. Losing a game, and all of a sudden, that gets thrown out of the window,” read another story.

On their official website, the PCB had initially opened applications for the positions of the head coaches of the national team along with the position of director of its high performance centre in Lahore.
