The Rajat Patidar-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are having a fantastic run in the current IPL 2025 season and are only one victory away from earning a playoff spot. If RCB defeats the defending champion Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, they will advance to the playoffs and win their first IPL championship.
RCB legend and former South African batsman AB de Villiers said before the game that if the team reaches the final, he would undoubtedly travel to India.
AB de Villiers has played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru for 11years. He represented them from 2011-2021. He shared many unforgettable partnerships with Virat Kohli. At one time, RCB had one of the most powerful batting lineups, featuring Kohli, de Villiers, and Chris Gayle.
AB also said he would love to lift the trophy with his good friend Virat Kohli after witnessing RCB’s impressive performance season. He also pledged to visit India if the team makes it to the final.
“Mark my words, if RCB makes it to the final, I will be there at the stadium with the boys. Nothing will give me more pleasure than to lift that trophy with Virat Kohli. I’ve tried that for many many years,” said de Villiers during an Instagram Live session.
