Good news for cricket fans in Jersey as ICC announces Jersey as a host for ICC World Cricket Division League 5. They have also announced six squads and officials for the league. This is a big plus for the cricketing world as Cricket is expanding its horizons in new states as well. The torunament starts on 21 May with Final on 28th May. The tournament will feature six teams- Jersey, Oman, Tanzania, Nigeria, Guernsey, Vanuatu. This is chance for Associate Nations to move up the ladder and take a step towards Tests and ODIs. A total of 18 matches will be played among six teams. The two finalist will be promoted to Division 4, which is scheduled to be played later this year.
ICC is giving these teams a chance to make their way to be recognised as ICC’s four-day first-class competition for Associate members.
