The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the prize money for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025, where the winner of the tournament will be getting 2.24 million USD (Rs. 19.45 crore).
The runners-up will get 1.12 million USD (Rs. 9.73 crore).
The semifinalist will receive 560,000 USD (Rs. 4.86 crore).
The cricketing body increased the prize pool by 53 percent as compared to the 2017 edition. The teams that will play in the Champions Trophy will be getting 34,000 USD (Rs. 29.5 lakh) for each group stage victory in the event.
Teams who end their campaign on the 5th and 6th place will be receiving 350,000 USD (Rs. 3.04 crore), along with the teams who end their campaign on 7th and 8th receiving 140,000 USA (Rs. 1.21 crore).
Along with this, all the teams that feature in the tournament will receive 125,000 USD (Rs. 1.08 crore)

“The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 represents a pivotal moment for cricket, reviving a tournament that highlights the pinnacle of ODI talent, where every match is critical. The substantial prize pot underscores the ICC’s ongoing commitment to investing in the sport and maintaining the global prestige of our events,” ICC chairman Jay Shah said as per ICC.
“Beyond the financial incentive, this tournament ignites fierce competition, captivates fans worldwide, and plays a vital role in fostering the growth and long-term sustainability of cricket for future generations,” Shah added.
Champions Trophy will begin February 19, and will be played in a hybrid model where India’s matches and one of the semifinal will be held in Dubai. The rest of the tournament is going to be held in Pakistan across three venues in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Karachi. The venue for the final also depends on India making it to the title decided or not. In case India qualifies for final clash, the match will be held in Dubai, otherwise, the summit clash will take place in Pakistan.
