ICC appoints match officials for initial stages of U-19 World Cup

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has appointed match officials for the first round and warm-up matches of the ICC under-19 World Cup. The World Cup will be held from August 11 to August 26 in Australia.

David Boon, Roshan Mahanama and Steve Bernard will be the match referees for the tournament, as reported by the official website of ICC.
On-field umpires for the tournament will be drawn from the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires, and the ICC Associate and Affiliate Umpires’ Panel.
International panel umpires include Ahsan Raza, Owen Chirombe, Johan Cloete, Enamul Hoque Moni, Chris Gaffaney, Richard Illingworth, Ranmore Martinez, Peter Nero, Paul Reiffel and Ravi Sundaram.

While Bernard will oversee all the matches in Sunshine Coast, Boon will be the match referee for all matches in Brisbane. Mahanama will supervise matches in Townsville and the match at Tony Ireland Stadium.
