As Pakistan take on South Africa in match 7 of ICC Champions Trophy 2017, former captain and now commentator Rameez Raja believes Pakistan will have to play attacking game against top team such as South Africa. Keeping the weather in mind, Rameez believes Pakistan should opt for more pacers. However, Rameez also said that South Africa are favourites to win. Pakistan lost their first match, making this a do-or-die match for them as this could be a virtually knockout game against South Africa. Full Cricket Scorecard: Pakistan vs South Africa, ICC Champions Trophy 2017, Match 7 at Edgbaston

Speaking to Geo.tv, Rameez added, “There is too much predictability in our batting line-up. [Captain] Sarfraz Ahmed should bat at number 3 or 4, because we need running between the wickets and a surprise element in our batting. He could be that surprise for the Protean bowling attack. The key would be how well our batsmen can play South African spin.” Rameez has also warned Pakistan to be wary of South Africa’s ace spinner Imran Tahir who could give tough time to the batsmen. Talking about Pakistan’s skill set, Rameez said, “They need to be confident about their skill set. They must free themselves up mentally so they can play their natural game.”

South Africa are in a safe position after the 96-run victory against Sri Lanka, and another win here could ensure them a spot in semi-final.
